ADULT SKILLS Hockey Clinic
Open to All Levels of Players
May 18th and 19th – large ice
Time: 4:35pm to 5:50pm May 18th 3:40pm to 4:55pm May 19th
Cost: $80 for both days $45 drop in
POWER SKATING – Explosive Skating, Increase Stride Length, Power and Efficiency, Forward & Backward strides, Starts, Crossunders, Power turns, Agility, Lateral Mobility, Speed, Transitions, Acceleration and Confidence.
STICKHANDLING – Creative Puck Control, Develop SOFT, CREATIVE Hands, Effective moves, Wide reach, agility and control with the puck.
SHOOTING – Forehand, Backhand, Wrist Shot and Snap Shot. We will be teaching proper weight transfer, follow through and vision among many other simple tips to make you a better player.
Instructor: Jamie Huscroft Former NHL player, New Jersey Devils, Boston, Calgary, Tampa Bay, Vancouver and Washington / 14 years of pro hockey.

SPRING/SUMMER 3 on 3 – RENTON
From April 7th to August 25th (no sessions March 31st and May 12th)
Games will be played in Renton on the small ice.
Mites 8:15am to 9:15am
Squirts 9:30am to 10:30am
Peewee/Bantam 12pm to 1pm

POWER SKATING & DRYLAND TRAINING – KIRKLAND
Time: 12pm to 1:15pm (On ice) 1:30pm-2:15Pm (Off ice) Youth power skating is for those looking to improve their skating skills, power, speed and endurance. With specialized instruction on skills such as explosive starts and stops, edge control acceleration, turning and more our team of instructors will work with each participant to help meet their goals. The goals of the dryland training are to develop hockey players who are stronger, faster, more powerful, flexible, metabolically more efficent and less prone to develop injuries Mite – Squirt – Pee-Wee – Bantam

Doug Kirton: Doug was a former pro, college and junior hockey player who is currently the Hockey Director at Sno-King. Some of his latest coaching education includes USA Hockey Director course, USA Hockey Level 4, PNAHA ADM Director. Doug has instructed at numerous Camps and Clinics for Sno-King Hockey as well as in Canada and Europe.

HES D-CAMP – RENTON
HES D-CAMP will take place on July 22nd, 24th, 25th and 26th – RENTON
Time: 6:15pm to 7:30pm
This camp is focused on game concepts that will give you a whole new feel for team play and awareness of the game. This is NOT a general skills camp. Our experienced instructors care about each player. They want to increase your game situation knowledge so when you step on the ice for your next game, you’ll have the confidence and skills you need to make a difference for your team.

Attended Clarkson University on a hockey scholarship where he was named 2 time All-American. Dan is currently the director of goaltending for SKAHA and the Head Coach of the Beginners / Hockey 2 Program.

The Contact, Checking and Battle Camp – KIRKLAND
July 1st or August 5th
Mites Squirts Peewee Bantam Midget
This clinic includes off ice checking, video and two hours of on ice. It is designed for the hockey player ages 6 to 14 years old. In the game of hockey it is important to know how to give and receive a check for obvious safety concerns. In fact, 87% of all injuries that occur in hockey are directly related to body checking. Effective use of the body becomes more important at the older ages, learning good technique at an early age is critical. Availability is limited.
